This thesis analyses the literature debate in the overlooked Swedish magazine Samtid och Framtid 1944?1949. The magazine was first published at the end of World War II on the initiative of publisher Johan Hansson. After an interesting start, the terms of the debate in the magazine were changed after a power struggle on the editorial level. Thus, the magazine never became the influential arena for literary discussions that it first had potential of becoming.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar ett konstnärlig projekt i vilken upphovsmannen arrangerade ett antal låtar ur afroamerikansk tradition för symfoniorkester. Syftet var att undersöka arbetsprocessen vid överföring av denna typ av musik till detta specifika medium. Metoden som användes var skisser och intervjuer med professionellt verksamma arrangörer som underlag för att skapa och analysera det konstnärliga materialet. This essay comprises a study of the bridal crowns of Tjust, with respect to their national history, concept and aspect of mythological symbol. The tradition of bearing the parochial bridal crown is closely associated with religious medieval politics, and has also come to include elements of superstition and folklore. Attention is paid to these aspects dealing with the position of the bridal crown within current forms of tradition and culture and the impact on brides of this day and age. The aim of this study is to explore the approach and views on female genital mutilation(FGM) among young women from Somalia, and how they perceive the tradition afterimmigration to Sweden. This is structured under the following questions: What do theyknow about FGM? What are their experiences? And what do they reckon about FGMtoday? The study is based on one recorded interview with a group of young femalesfrom Somalia. The data were analysed using qualitative content analysis. The women?sfeelings were ambivalent though they on one hand opposed FGM because of serioushealth risks, but on the other hand were conscious of the tradition?s great influence inthe social network and daily life.

Different ways of naming the two pitches between A and C exist in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The Germanic tradition uses B and H, whereas the Anglo-Saxon tradition uses Bb and B. The aim of this study was to present a survey of the various opinions regarding these pitch names. The material consisted of different opinions about this matter from Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish websites. By means of discourse analysis the material was analysed in themes, which consisted of logic, tradition and communication.

I denna uppsats har de Svenska medborgarnas inställning i frågan om privatisering av offentlig sektor undersökts. Vi har försökt fastställa om det är inkomst eller politisk ideologi som är den avgörande faktorn när man tar ställning i denna fråga. Vidare har vi tittat på hur dessa båda faktorer förhåller sig till olika sociologiska teoriers beskrivning av vår samtid. För att undersöka detta har en kvantitativ metod och analys använts. Data som har använts kommer från en undersökning gjord av Stefan Svallfors och Jonas Edlund; Umeå universitet.Resultatet visar att de Svenska medborgarna är emot en privatisering av den offentliga sektorn, och att högerblockets väljare inte delar högerpartiernas ståndpunkt i denna fråga.

Målet har varit att göra en filosofisk tolkning av mina minnen samt en hyllning till regionen, i synnerhet Borlänge där jag växt upp.Jag har under projektets gång gjort en resa både på ett mentalt och rent fysiskt plan tillbaka till den plats jag växt upp för att utforska mina minnen och därigenom skapa en plattform för mitt designarbete.För att nå mitt resultat har jag använt mig av designmetoder som ITK, intervjuer, skisser, studiebesök, materialtester, mockups samt modelleringsverktyget Rhino.Resultatet är en stol inspirerad av saker som bland annat Ornäs stugan och musikkulturen i Borlänge. This study deals with questions about male and female, power and church, related to the Mariologies of three prominent leaders in the Church of Sweden in the last century: Erling Eidem, Paulina Mariadotter and Cristina Grenholm. The mentioned topics are important for conservative High Church people as well as for radical feminists, and they are therefore necessary to address in the context of discussions about the church´s identity and the search of greater unity.Each Mariology is related to contemporary ideas about the relations between male and female, and to the tradition of the church as the leaders themselves see it. During the years 1920-2010 the relations between the sexes changed a lot as a result of the impact of modernity, which also affected how people perceived the relationship between the individual and the tradition/authorities. The present study concludes that there is a connection between Mariology and contemporary ideas about male and female. However, the Mariologist´s attitude to the tradition of the church seems to decide which perspective is allowed to dominate.

Konceptet Tradition kommer av Höganäs Keramiks hantverkstradition men också av den varma, mysiga och hemtrevliga stämningen kring den långa svenska fikatraditionen.Resultatet blev en kaffeservis inom konceptet Tradition bestående av stor och liten kopp med fat, assiett, kaffe-/tekanna, mjölkkanna, sockerskål och serveringsfat..

Uppsatsen behandlar bönders världsbild under två perioder, före (1796-1800) respektive efter Laga skifte (1886-1890). Studien är avgränsad till Höks Härad i Hallands län. Den empiriska undersökningen baseras på suppliker, insända till Hallands läns Landskontor och Landskansli, som analyserats och tolkats med en hermeneutisk metod. Karl-Johan Ödmans teori i vilken bondebefolkningen genomgick ett mentalt skifte mellan tradition och modernitet i samband med Laga skifte har fungerat som ram för tolkningen av materialet. Undersökningen visar att kännetecken för Ödmans traditionella paradigm återfinns i undersökningens suppliker från den tidiga perioden medan de moderna kännetecknen inte är lika tydliga under sin period.
